Quality Engineer
- Position is located in Montgomeryville, PA
- Review production and quality data to control and improve processes, provide support and resolve limitation/bottlenecks.
- Maintain the customer complaint database and support 8D analysis to the appropriate area owners.
- Recommend, review and implement specification revisions and quality standards related to process control, sampling and statistical techniques
- Evaluate the results of sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques continuously to enable timely corrective actions and to ensure adherence to the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification standards
- Analyze and review processes to recommend quality process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques
- Train other employees in the use of quality applications or tools as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS
- Demonstrate analytical skills and critical thinking ability
- Ability to use deductive reasoning and potential problem analysis
- Ability to exchange information effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to multi task, prioritize and establish a workflow
Must have excellent decision-making capabilities and a willingness to take initiative
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access and or other database software and the ability to produce charts and reports from the data
Ability and desire to communicate ideas to improve both the quality and manufacturing processes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Time will be split between an office environment and the production area; the production area can be noisy (though below 85 decibels) and will require the use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses) as dictated by local policy
Must be able to spend most of the workday focusing on computer screen and utilizing a keyboard
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering technology
ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred

Min of 1-3 yrs exp in a manufacturing quality environment or similar role evaluating and recommending process outputs and procedures and quality parametersEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
